Sheikh Ibn Baz
They should not be prayed upon because standing upon the Ka'bah and stepping on it is demeaning. It's not permissible to put the image of the Ka'bah on mats. The one who sees a prayer mat upon which, there is an image of the Ka'bah, should not buy it. That's because if it (i.e., the image of Ka'bah) was in front of him, it might distract him. And if it was below his feet, then it is demeaning. Therefore, it's safer for the believer not to use these prayers mats.
