Ruling on Giving Charity to One’s Children

It is permissible for a person to give Sadaqah (charity) to his son, and this is also applicable. This means that a person can give charity to his child. The evidence for this is found in the hadith of Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) when he said to his wife, who wanted to give charity: "Your husband and your child have more right to receive your charity."
