Question
Can One Wipe Over a Second Pair of Socks?
Loading...
Sheikh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen
For example, if one performs a complete wudu, washes his feet, and then wears socks, then in this case he has worn them in a state of taharah (ritual purity).
Similarly, if he had already worn socks and wiped over them, then out of need wore another pair of socks over the first pair which he had wiped over in a state of taharah, then he can wipe over the second pair.
However, the time of wiping starts from when he first wiped on the first pair and not the second pair; this is the correct view. Meaning, if one wears socks over socks which he has already wiped over, he wipes over the second pair. However, the starting time starts from when he first wiped on the first pair.
