What is the ruling on seeking blessings from spit and clothes?

As for seeking blessings from their traces, which is the second type, smearing oneself with their clothes or sweat, or seeking blessings by kissing them, then this is forbidden and not permissible. And it is one of the reprehensible Bidas (innovations within religion); It’s mandatory upon the person which this is being done unto him to forbid them from it (i.e., people seeking bliss from his clothes, sweat, and other things). However, we seek refuge in Allah, some people are moved by their inclination to evil, whims, and love of leadership and prestige to do such things, Such as rubbing oneself against him, kissing his hands, bowing to him, and the likes of it. The one who does this, in reality is associated or wants to be associated with Allah in the glorification and reverence that should be (dedicated) to Allah the Exalted. So, he must fear Allah the Exalted and warn those who do this to him; (he) warns them not to do such actions to him. And (he must) know his place and know the Majesty of his Lord, The Exalted
