Slaughtering of the sacrificial animals is done during the time of slaughter (which is) the day of Eid and three days following it i.e., the days of Tashreeq. This is the time for slaughtering.
(As for) slaughtering during the night, it is permissible but is disliked. Meaning, it is permissible along with dislike. Slaughtering during the day is better.
