What to do with Lost Property?

It is obligatory upon the one who finds a large sum of money that people would be concerned about losing to make an announcement about it for a year. If the owner comes, he takes it back, otherwise it is his.   I wish that the government would put a special place to look after these lost things in every area, so that people would be at ease, and they would be active in taking lost items. (That’s) because many pious people if they see money or lost property in the market, they don’t take it because they don’t want to spend time announcing/reporting it. However, if there was a government agency responsible for this, it would be easy for anyone to take it and submit it to the authorities.   I wish that this happens, because it would be very useful, and perhaps the authorities responsible for this matter can look into the matter.
