Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan
You mean the ten days of Dhul Hijjah?
Yes, Sheikh.
Every righteous deed is legislated in the [first] ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
The Messenger ﷺ did not specify [particular deeds].
Rather, he stated that deeds performed in these ten days are the best and most beloved deeds to Allah the Almighty.
They (the companions) said, “O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the cause of Allah (is better)?”
He (ﷺ) said, “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, except the one who goes out with his life and wealth and doesn’t return with either of them.”
“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days (the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah).” And he ﷺ didn’t specify a particular deed.
However, [it is desirable] to say Takbeer (saying 'Allahu Akbar') in these ten days unrestrictedly. “And mention the name of Allah on known [i.e., specific] days.” (22:28), which are the ten days (of Dhul Hijjah), through saying Takbeer and Tahleel (saying 'La ilaha illa Allah').
Fasting these days is also desirable.
Meaning the first nine days, the last of which being the Day of ‘Arafah.
Except for the ones performing Hajj, they shouldn’t fast the Day of ‘Arafah; But they should break their fast.
Likewise, voluntary prayers and all righteous deeds have virtue in these ten days.
