I busy myself with memorizing and understanding the foundations of knowledge, but I see people who don’t adhere to that, rather they read advanced books and claim that they understand them. He says: So, I get confused. Am I on the right path or not? And what is your advice for beginners like me?

We have repeated this and clarified it before: the beginner starts with the short, summarized books.
The longer, volumous books are for the advanced students of knowledge and the scholars. As for the beginner, he limits himself to the summarized books and to one scholarly opinion, and differences of opinion aren't mentioned to him.
