Question

A man did not prohibit his children from watching television at their relatives’ house. However, he prevented television from entering his house in order to raise them upon religion and reading books at home, and so that he may teach them without them knowing. He says, "Is this action of his correct?"

If they watch television at other peoples’ [homes], they will ask for it at home. They would say: Either you bring it, or we will go out to the houses of our neighbors and the houses of our relatives that have television. So, protect them. Do not let them go to a house that has a television in it. If you want to raise them properly, do not let them go.
