"People who, when they are alone..."

Question: What is meant by what was mentioned in the hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "But they are people who, when they are alone, transgress the sacred limits of Allah”? Answer: It means that they do not fear Allah, but pretend in front of people by abandoning that which is haram (forbidden) in front of them. Then, when they are alone, they transgress the limits. They fear people and do not fear Allah, the Exalted.
