Sheikh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen
By Allah, if (our) hearts were pure, they would be torn apart by the sorrow of deprivation. By Allah, if our hearts were pure, they would be torn apart by the sorrow of deprivation. How many an hour goes by in vain? We don’t benefit from them. They go by with no purpose. Time and (our) lifespan are more precious than wealth. They’re more precious than gold and silver. If gold and silver go away, something else will replace them. However, time and (our) lifespan are replaced by nothing. If they go away, they go without coming back.
{But Allah never delays a soul when its appointed time comes (i.e., death). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do} [Al-Munafiqun: 11].
{When death approaches any of them, they cry, ‘My Lord! Let me go back, so I may do good in what I left behind.’ Never!} [Al-Mu’minun: 99-100]
There is no coming back.
