Jihad in Bosnia

Questioner: Ok! There’s another question regarding the case of the brothers in Bosnia. Sheikh: Yes Q: I heard that you said to some brothers who wanted to go and help, make jihad (struggle) against yourselves. Sheikh: Yes, yes. Q: So, this means that you don’t recommend going there? Sheikh: It is so. Q: Ok! Don’t you see that the people there need help? Sheikh: How don’t I see?! How don’t I see?! But is help brought through raising the deaths of believers without a benefit? Where is the preparation that we were ordered (to make) in the Holy Qur’an? Q: But what if there is a benefit? Sheikh: If you believe there’s a benefit then it is mandatory. Sheikh: Hello… Hello… Q: Yes, I’m with you. Sheikh: So, do you believe? Q: Yes. Sheikh: What is the benefit? Q: That there are weak Muslims. Sheikh: Brother, don’t tell me the reality; tell me what the benefit is? Q: The benefit is to help, aid, and support them. Sheikh: May Allah guide you, aiding them needs the help (on the scale) of countries not individuals. The matter needs well-organized armies which are trained on the use of modern weapons. It needs tanks, airplanes etc. What are you talking about! These are individual means! If we send a thousand men from here or there, they will be fuel for the fire. What will they do against tanks and destroyers?! Glory be to Allah, I am astonished at how young Muslims don’t think about these matters, (just) like the old Arab saying “a person doesn’t look further than his nose tip.” I asked you, is there a benefit? You said yes. What is the benefit? That they’re weak. It’s as if, may Allah guide you O Aba-Souhaib, I don’t know that they’re weak and less in numbers and weapons compared to the Serbians first, And its supporting countries second, especially these Americans who destroyed people and vegetation (Note: this means they destroyed everything). Q: Yes. Sheikh: Don’t you know these facts? Q: Yes. Sheikh: Is there a benefit in killing Muslims in vain? Look at what happened in Afghanistan, do you think that Jihad can be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina better than Afghanistan? Q: No. Sheikh: So, what was the result there? The result is that we reaped thorns, And we destroyed people and vegetation because we violated the Sharia (Islam) in many, many matters, as proved by the bad endings… {And do not be polytheists ‘ like ‘ those who have divided their faith and split into sects, each rejoicing in what they have} (Ar-Rum: 31:32). Seven parties fighting against one party which is the Communist Party. A disbelieving Communist Party. Three Islamic parties, how did this happen? Therefore don’t forget, even if you live far away from us, don’t forget the principle: we must start with refining and education. And also remember the saying of Allah “And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much” (Shura:30). So, we ask Allah to give victory to our Muslim brothers in all Muslim countries, But unfortunately like our Rabb (Lord) said in the Holy Qur’an “But no change will you find in Allah’s way (of dealing) No turning off will you find in Allah’s way (of dealing)” (Fatir:43) “Verily, Allah does not change men’s condition unless they change their inner selves;..” “...and when Allah wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him” [Raad:11]. Therefore, if we want to aid the people of any of the Islamic nations, we should establish Islam in our households. However, we don’t establish our Islam in our household, therefore afflictions befell us in every Islamic country. We feel sorry for this, but we hope that Allah fullfil His true promise to Muslims. “We will without doubt, help our apostles and those who believe, in this world’s life” [Ghafir:51]. “A group of my Ummah will continue to prevail on the basis of the truth, and they will not be harmed by those who oppose them until the hour starts (i.e., day of resurrection).” Perhaps this was enough for you Aba Souhaib?
