Sheikh Abdullah Al-Qusair
So, the characteristics of the du'at (callers) to Allah, the Exalted, is what they were upon, meaning, what Muslims were upon of the knowledge of Islam, doing deeds according to Islam, adopting the manners of Islam, treating others according to the treatment of the Muslims, and encouraging others (non-Muslims) to enter Islam; All of this. I know a number of people, only Allah knows how many they are, that Allah has guided by observing Muslims; how the Muslim prays, how he fasts, how he prays the night prayer, how he spends in charity, how he's patient, and how he suffers from illness, complains his condition to Allah the Almighty and doesn't complain about Allah to His creation. A number of people (non-Muslims) which Allah has guided. By Allah, I saw them coming to the mosques while they were kuffar (disbelievers), entering to the corners of the mosque, and contemplating how Muslims are. And when they were approached for discussion, it turned out that they love Islam, admire it, and admire Muslims. And the cars took them from the company to learn Islam on Friday, the official holiday according to the people of Ilm (Islamic knowledge). I know this and have lived through it. That's the responsibility. The responsibility of da'wah (calling to Allah) is a great responsibility and an inevitable one as well.
