The Explanation of the Names and Attributes of Allah

The Tafseer (explanation) of the Name or Attribute (of Allah) by that which goes against the apparent meaning is also deviance and speaking about Allah and His religion without knowledge. For example, (they explained) Allah above (istiwa) His throne as seized (istawla) the throne, Face as side, Hand as power, Mercy as the will to bliss, and Anger as the will to take revenge. All of this is deviance, clear deviance that goes against the Quran, Sunnah, what the Salaf (pious predecessors) were upon, and its meaning according to the Arabic language which the Quran was revealed in and by which the Prophet ﷺ spoke to them.
