Rulers with Devils’ Hearts

So, they said: these Hadiths about listening to and obeying the ruler are only applied if the ruler rules absolutely with Sharia (the laws of Allah). Well, where do we get one of those rulers nowadays? Our current rulers have a constitution to rule with. However, when you mention the Hadiths to them, they say: no, all the Hadiths are explained based on a ruler who only applies Sharia (the laws of Allah). Where did you get that explanation from?! O Brothers, by Allah, there isn't (i.e., such an explanation). Listen to this Hadith: The Prophet peace be upon him said: “There will be leaders who come after me” Leaders i.e., rulers, “who will not follow my guidance nor will they follow my Sunnah.” Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)! They neither follow the Prophet's ﷺ guidance nor do they follow his Sunnah, peace be upon him. He ﷺ said: “There will rise among them men who will have the hearts of devils in the bodies of humans.” He has a human's body but a devil's heart; neither the Prophet's ﷺ guidance nor Sunnah peace be upon him. Hudhaifa, may Allah be pleased with him, and you know Hudhaifa's care for such Hadiths said: “What should I do, O Messenger of Allah, if I witness that?” What should I do if such rulers with these descriptions arrive and rule me? He (peace be upon him) said: “You listen and obey.” La ilaha illa'llah (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah)! So, where is that condition that they have mentioned?! (that only the ruler who absolutely rules with Sharia should be listened to and obeyed) It doesn’t exist. It only exists in their imagination. (The Prophet ﷺ) said: “You listen to the Amir (ruler) and obey. Even if he flogs (beats) your back and takes your wealth, you should listen and obey.” Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)! Is there any greater tyranny than this?! He takes your money and what? He beats you! Why? (Like he might) say: What you have in your pocket isn’t much; he only found 200 and said “just 200?!” He takes the 200, and he beats and slaps you. He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: Despite all of that you listen and obey. O servant of Allah, did that kind of ruler apply Sharia (Allah's Laws)? No, “hearts of devils in the bodies of human beings.”
