So, I give advice because nowadays there is a great degree of boldness; for them, there is nothing easier than calling a person so-and-so or an innovator (i.e., within religion). When you call someone an innovator, you should have proof of his bid'ah [innovation within religion]. When calling someone fasiq (transgressor), you must have proof of his transgression and what he transgressed in, am I clear? So and so is not Salafi (doesn't follow the righteous predecessors)? Why? What did he dissent from their principles? Don’t say: no, he isn’t Salafi, but I don’t know why. You don't know why? No? Then keep quiet. If you don't know why, then keep quiet; you must know why. Don’t judge on behalf of Allah the Exalted, and do not label people with descriptions of which they're innocent, ever! However, this boldness, by Allah, has truly exceeded all limits, and that's mainly due to lack of Ilm (Islamic Knowledge). Some people possess some Ilm, but not its manners; they memorize topics of Ilm but don't embrace its manners. No, having both is the fundamental basis.
