All the religions of the prophets is the religion of Islam and every prophet came with the religion of Islam.
Judaism is a religion and a Shari’ah (legislation).
But its religion is the religion of Islam and its legislation is the legislation of Musa (Moses), peace be upon him.
Christianity, originally, is the religion of Islam and its legislation is the legislation of ‘Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him.
(ولأحل لكم بعض الذي حرم عليكم وجئتكم بآية من ربكم فاتقوا الله وأطيعون)
"And to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allah and obey me." [Al ‘Imran: 50]
So, it is not correct that these religions be attributed to the heaven.
And this is one of the important issues in which confusion occurs today.
Some people say, "The heavenly religions" or, "The Abrahamic religions".
(ما كان إبراهيم يهوديا ولا نصرانيا ولكن كان حنيفا مسلما)
"Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah alone]. " [Al ‘Imran: 67]
These religions are not heavenly.
Yes, they are religions attributed to its people or to their prophets, yes.
However, they are not heavenly. They all agree upon the [one true] heavenly religion, and it is the religion of Islam.
Therefore, do not say "heavenly religions".
And do not let anyone make you think that there is a true religion other than the religion of Islam.
Allah The Almighty said,
(إن الدين عند الله الإسلام)
"Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam." [Al ‘Imran: 19]
And He said,
(ومن يبتغ غير الإسلام دينا فلن يُقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين)
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Al ‘Imran: 85]
Therefore, it is common for some people not to understand Islam and they say "heavenly religions".
No, Islam is one, all the prophets are on one religion.
What is this religion?
It (i.e., Islam) is surrendering to Allah alone with Tawhid, submitting to him with obedience, i.e., obeying the Messenger who was sent to them, and freeing oneself from Shirk (polytheism) and its people.
