Following the Prophet (May Allah's Peace and blessing be upon him)

The salafis, by the virtue of Allah that Allah has blessed them with, they call to Ikhlas (sincerity) to Allah in His Tawheed, and in singling out the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in following him and not others; not even other Prophets, Messengers, and those who are lesser than them from the scholars and the righteous people. Accordingly, perhaps you remember the hadith of Jabir bin Abdillah, may Allah be pleased with both of them, which was reported by Imam Ahmad in his musnad and by others from the Prophet ﷺ; He ﷺ saw a paper in the hand of Umar one day which he was reading from, he ﷺ asked: "What is this ?" He ('Umar) said: "This is a scroll from the Taurah which was written for me by a Jew." He ﷺ said angrily: "Are you in a state of confusion as the Jews and the Christians were? By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, if Musa was alive he wouldn't have any way except to follow me." Even if Musa was alive he would not have been able to follow anyone but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
