Sheikh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen
There is evidence in this that the Sahaabah (companions) used to ask the Prophet ﷺ questions which are considered Shubbhas (doubtful matters).
And he would answer them.
Therefore, we do not find any real Shubbhah in the Quran and Sunnah without finding its answer.
The answer is either in the Quran and Sunnah without the question, or by asking the question which is answered.
An example of that is when the Prophet ﷺ informed that the Dajjal will remain on earth for forty days, the first day is like a year, the second is like a month, the third is like a week, and the rest of the days like our days, the companions asked: O Messenger of Allah, will one day’s prayer suffice us in this day which will be like a year?
He replied: No. However, make an estimate of it.
In this (example) there is the clearest evidence that there is nothing that would seem uncertain - and all praise be to Allah – in the Quran and Sunnah that has no answer.
However, what exists is shortcoming in understanding (leading to) inability of knowing the answers, or shortcoming in seeking (Islamic knowledge).
One falls short, he does not seek (Ilm), reflect, or research, so the matter becomes uncertain to him.
Yet, in reality there is nothing in the Quran and Sunnah - praise be to Allah - uncertain except that its answer is found in the Quran and Sunnah, either initially (i.e., before any questions), or as an answer to the questions of the companions.
