Which is More Virtuous in Prayer, Standing or Prostration?

He mentioned standing and prostration, because standing in Prayer is more virtuous than prostration in terms of its Dhikr. And prostration is more virtuous than standing in terms of its physical form. How is standing more virtuous than prostration in terms of its Dhikr? It's because the legislated Dhikr while standing is the recitation of the Qur'an, and the Qur'an is the best of speech. As for prostration, it is more virtuous than standing in terms of its physical form. That's because the one in prostration, is the closest he can be to his Rabb,the Almighty, as established by the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "The 'Abd (worshipper) is closest to his Rabb while he is prostrating." Hence, he ﷺ has commanded us to increase our supplications whilst in prostration.
