Sheikh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen
So, my advice for my brothers, not in regards to the Internet nor TV channels, is to have Taqwa (Fear of Allah) for their own sake. And they should know that they weren't created for this, rather they were created to worship Allah the Exalted. If they stooped to the likeness of animals, which is satisfying their lusts and desires, they would indeed lose the Dunya (worldly life) and the Hereafter, we seek refuge in Allah. Therefore, my Muslim brothers should preserve their religion and their times and not waste their precious, precious, precious lifetime. By Allah, one minute is more valuable than a thousand Dirham (currency). You see, if death has come, and a person had the option to give up everything in life just to stay for one more minute, he would say yes. Thus, Allah the Exalted said: "[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord, send me back ? That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind.’ No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected." (Al-Mu'minun: 99-100) I ask Allah to grant all of us a good end. Therefore, it was mentioned in the Hadith: "Everyone who dies will regret. If he was a good doer, he regrets that he did not do more. And if he was an evil doer, he regrets that he did not stop." Preserve your lifetime, oh brother, for by Allah it is more precious than gold and silver. and if a person does not waste a single Dirham (currency), so how does he waste his life which happiness or doom (i.e. in the Hereafter) depends on. Oh Allah! make us from those who are happy Oh Allah! make us from those who are happy Oh Allah! O Lord of mankind, make us from those who are happy
