Is Punishment Reduced for the One Who Passes Away in Ramadan?

Questioner: Is punishment reduced for the one who passes away in Ramadan? Sheikh: We don't have a statement (i.e., evidence) regarding this, Allah knows best. Questioner: The doors of Hellfire closes, and the doors of Paradise opens? Sheikh: Yes, however, this doesn't mean that the punishment is reduced for the deceased. This (matter) needs Nass (textual evidence, i.e., the Qurʾan and Sunnah).
