Sheikh Ibn Baz
Questioner: Is there a difference (in ruling) between the ignorant and the one who knows (the religion)?
Answer: Matters differ. In some matters the ignorant is excused while in others he is not.
Questioner: What about the Rafidah?
Answer: Whosoever calls upon other than Allah and seeks aid from other than Him, is a Kafir whatsoever. That is because they are among the Muslims, and the Qur'an and the Sunnah has reached them. Allah has made the Qur'an a warning and a message.
As Allah said: {This (Qur'an) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them),} (Surah Ibrahim 14:52)
{This Qur'an has been revealed to me that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach,} (Surah al-An'am 6:19)
So, whosoever commits Kufr (disbelief) while he is living amongst the Muslims and seeks the aid of other than Allah, whether it be al-Badawi or anyone else from the creation, regardless of whether he is from the Rafidah or not, he falls under the ruling of Kufr (disbelief).
We ask Allah for well-being.
