We see this in another matter, not related to obligations, but from recommended acts. It is the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: "Pray in your sandals and oppose the jews." For indeed, the Prophet ﷺ commanded Muslims not to needlessly dig deep in their religion and burden themselves by praying barefooted. Rather, they only pray however is made easy for them. If they enter the masjid barefooted, they pray barefooted, and they do not burden themselves to wear sandals/shoes. And if they pray in an open prayer area in the desert, then they don't burden themselves with removing their shoes. Rather, (they pray) however is made easy for them. Some people, even during this time, burden themselves to remove the shoes even if they were in the desert. There is no justification or reason to take such a burden upon themselves. Rather, we should deliberately pray in our shoes in opposition to the jews.
